The Department protects an area of approximately 20 square miles, including approximately 1,500 homes, 8 Corning Incorporated facilities, as well as a host of other retail and manufacturing facilities. In the past three years, the Department has responded to an average of 225 calls per year. The Department responded to 245 for the year 2012.
