Santa and Mrs. Clause makes Special stop on there way back to the North Pole.
Santa and Mrs Clause stopped in as the fire department Members and their Families were having a group dinniner.
Santa thanked the Firefighters and their families for many hours of their time this past year. Santa and Mrs Clause also gave out gifts to all the childern before they had to leave. Santa and Mrs Clause have to be back at the North Pole this week.
Thanks to all that came and a special thanks to all that made it happen!

Planing ahead and by the simple things you can do in your eveyday life Alexandra Hamilton
On August 1st, 2011 at our monthly meeting the members of the Fire Department presented a check to Alexandra Hamilton the Granddaughter of past Chief Larry Yonkin who gave his life in the line of duty on Nov. 15, 2003. The funds will be used to offset the expenses for Alexandra who will be attending the Congressional Youth Leadership Conference in Albany NY in March of 2012.
Fire Department's Summer ProjectThe Town of Erwin and the surounding areas has seen an increase of searches, rescues and wildland fires over the past years.
To help the firefighters be more effective in handling life threating or property damaging situations the Gang Mills Fire Department has formed a committee to organize a plan to raise funds and purchase an wildland fire fighting ATV 6x6 and transport Trailer.
The Fire Department's goal is to have an rescue-wildland firefighting squad set up and in service by spring of 2011.
UpDate: June 2011 - ATV-50 is in service!!! With 2 successful Rescues already!!
Were still excepting fundrasing donations to purchase the equipment that will go with it.
The Members are very greatful for all that has supported us to meet this goal and protecting our community.

We welcome new team members!
We have openings for Firefighters and fire police.
The department will provide you with the training and equipment you will need.
Call Our station phone (962-8711) and leave a message with your name and call back number and that your interested in becoming a member. Members can be 16 years old and up.
We'll invite you to come in and visit our station and its team members.
Donations To the
Fire Department
All donations goes toward Donor's request or firefighters projects and community support.
Donations can be dropped off at the fire station or mailed to Forest View Gang Mills FD at PO box 321 Painted Post, NY 14870.
CHECKS be made to the "Forest View Gang Mills FD."
CASH MONEY Donations only if arrangement is made by the President of the fire department or Fire Chief. (962-8711)

Drop off all clean New York $.05 returnables and tell them you are donating the returns to the Gang Mills Fire Dept.
